Is it just me or is anyone else of the opinion that a change of name for this website and associated information?
I am fed up reading about i-Phones, i-Phone accessories and in fact anything to do with i-Phones. There are other makes of phones out there who have sat nav/gps facility, but where is the information on software and accessories for them.
Maybe 'PocketGPSWorld.com' have found a new backer (Apple), if that is the case then brilliant and I hope it goes well. But at least be upfront about it.
Obviously I dont have an i-Phone, because I dont one, basically because I refuse to pay the extortionate price that Apple and O2 are charging for what is afterall only a glorified PDA with a phone and why should I have to go with a particular carrier (O2) just to have an i-Phone.
So come on i-PhoneGPSWorld.com oops sorry about that of course I meant PocketWorldGPS.com (didnt I), lets have some impartiallity and some wider information on other smartphone, PLEASE!!!

You over estimate the iPhone by claiming is only a glorified PDA with a phone - Its far from being that versatile and yes I do have one. It has been over hyped by the media IMHO, I know we have some PDA based reviews to get written up for Nav software as I have at least one or two to complete!
I still use the PDA based phones as I rate them for true multi tasking and the internet access when using a Forum is far better on a WM5 or 6 based product than the iPhone, damn iPhone keeps refreshing the session and making "View new posts" useless - Mike

it's a fair point but the only thing that seems to be happening at the moment is iphone navigation-related. tomtom released the 950 (which we covered) and they have also released the iphone nav app and almost released their gps-enabled phone holder.
alk have released copilot 8 on winmob, android and iphone - which we have covered.
navigon have brought out some new pnd's (which we covered from ifa) as well as releasing the 2nd update to their iphone app.
we mentioend garmin's edge 500 device too.
we have also reviewed 2 data loggers recently, discussed the idiot who blindyly followed his satnav and ended up with £900 fine, a handful of android announcements and some stats about speed cameras.
at the moment all the emphasis from the developers seems to be on the iphone app's but do feel free to email the team (team@) if you have anything newsworthy that you think we should post!
