Simply stating facts. Wink

I'm happy to pay for my subscription until/unless I'm lucky enough to qualify for a freebie.

At £2/month I don't know what the big deal is AND I've spent some time on here justifying the membership fee to those trying to get a free subscription. Twisted Evil

Thats £2 a month I could put forward to a new coat to deal with freeze and cold and horrible raining outside. If only some one would confirm one of my sites in France or Switzerland, I'd have a shinny new coat. No one can confirm my sites as they can't afford to go to France or Switzerland because of having to pay... ...off topic... ...yer I know, outside Darrens office, right! Rolling Eyes

MaFt said he will get back on topic, he will not stray again.

All that needs to be said is, and I've said it before.

PGPSW is the number 1 site for GPS, Safety Cameras and loads of good advice, free competitions and discounts on some GPS equipment.

My first post on here, as a new member.

Just wanted to say that you are doing yourself an injustice - the list in PC Pro was not ranked, so the fact that you appeared 17th is not relevant. What is relevant is that you were the only GPS site - well done!

Just been to France for the last few days, and I'm sure I had deleted the cam database, but I kept getting warnings of cams and not one of them was accurate! They just didn't exist.

I'm not even sure what (whos) database it was Embarassed

OOpps edited to put what I meant to put in the first place, how do I find the locations of the cams you have reported, I am in France and Switzerland on a regular (well more than most) basis, and I might be able to help.

Did you still have the uk PGPSW database on there. You may need to clear the whole thing and start again from scratch. Sad

Just short of saying I did this one, and I did that one, the camera locations I have submitted are all over the gaff. I'm not overley worried about my subscription as £19 is a steal, but I alway live in hope. Wink

N.B. check your pm

So tell me the true figure then please.

My actual quote was:

GPS_fan wrote:
Microsoft has a 40% share in Apple (or something like that), so there's no escaping them completely.

Anyway, Microsoft Office was developed for Mac long before the Windows version was released and pundits say it's superior.

At the end of the day, Apple provides superior technology which doesn't keep crashing around your ears every 2 minutes and I don't care what 'non-believers' say

Zero.

Might have been true back in the day, but Office:Mac 2004 isn't nearly as powerful as Office 2003, which has already been succeeded by Office 2007. O:M04 is an abomination of a software suite. I threw it away in its entirety, including the messenger :D

I have this terrible habit of joining a thread when it goes "off topic"
sorry Moderator's but interesting new topic here.

I have to back kar98 with the discussion on Microsoft Office
PC PRO have this as their top office software see HERE

PC PRO wrote in their conclusion:
Quote:
Control-freaks and stick-in-the-muds may not immediately enjoy it so much, but if you spend a little time getting used to it it's easy to make good-looking documents quickly. We really don't think you'll want to go back.

Obviously you like your Apple Mac and good luck with it, but it's not the best around, just better with some applications.

MS Windows must be at the top, just look at the % of users around the world, I don't know when you last used MS but i haven't had a "blue screen" this side of 2000 and maybe back in the '98 day's.

I own six different computers all being used at various places or tasks, all with MS Windows and some on 24 hours, if the hardrive is kept tidy, old programmes fully removed and Registry kept clean it runs like a Swiss watch.

In the old day's, we all hated MS as they overcharged for everything but those day's are now long gone, their office suite is superb.
As for beta testing software, they all do it now, so no change there.

It's not a case of being a "non-believer" just being realistic and accurate.
