I live on a lake that used to show up in blue color when I would browse the map in TTN5. After upgrading to version 6.010, and upgrading to the latest maps, the lake is no longer visible.. only an empty space where the lake would be.

I'm not sure if just my local lake disappeared, or if others did too. Did anyone notice the same omission?

Is this a software defect, or a map defect? Or a well disguised "feature" of some kind?

The water is still shown on the new Version 660 maps that are issued to go with Navigator 5. So it looks as if it might be Navigator 6 software which doesn't show it.

Bodies of water are still shown on the TeleAtlas maps used in TomTom One Regional. It is NavTeq who don't show this detail, and TomTom are now using NavTeq maps on TomTom One v2 Europe.

I had noticed this as well after upgrading to v660 maps on TTN6. I first noticed it when browsing a summary map of an advanced planned route. But if I zoom in, it does eventually turn the water to a blue area. I am not sure if it is a function of how the map and scheme interact. It is a bit annoying but I am trying not to let it bother me.

The lake shows up on the state map, but not on the USA+Canada map. So it seems to have nothing to do with the application version.

I wonder what other detail is removed from the larger maps.
