POI Observer on Sony Nav-U50/70: full instructions

I have the same problem , every thing works fine on it's own but sony reports no GPS (ver 1.05 prefsini changed to port 0)

If there is no fix , where can I get POI warner and how do you install it ?

Anybody got V 1.06 they can PM me or anyone know how else it can be installed.

All I can say is the Sony NAVU is a piece of Censored

don't even bother buying one, all you will get is Censored

routing and no way of editing the routes or changing options to avoid certain roads or types of roads, AVOID AVOID AVOID AT ALL COSTS i learnt the hard way, I bought one.

If someone can tell me how to convert a NAVU NV83 to a PDA please let me know asap, then I can get TOMTOM on it and have a decent satnav.

Does anyone know if one can get a map of USA (Florida) for the SONY NVU93T model? If so where and how do I download and install it.

Hi all,

I've got a problem on my NV-U70T.

I renamed the NAV-U file as instructed and copied over showtaskbar.exe which I then renamed NAV-U.exe

When I switch the GPS on now, it comes up with a screen saying installation and wont connect to the PC.

I've now found that my original CD is missing.

Is there anything I can do to re-connect to the PC and re-install the original file ?
