Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me, I would like to add the safety cameras etc to my PDA but do not know how to do it. I am a very basic user and very new to it all, the GB maps I have are on a CD and not sure how I add files to it to download via hot sync - Can anyone help me?

The easiest way to install these on a Palm OS T3/T5 is to use an SD Card Reader.

1. Take the card out of your T5 and place in your SD card reader
2. Double click the driveletter that shows against your newly inserted SD Card
3. Now download the Safety Camera ZIP file and extract the contents to c:\temp
4. Copy the relevant OV2 and BMP files from the main TEMP directory to the COUNTRY_MAP directory on your SD Card (e.g. Great Britain). This will be something like PocketGPS_UK_GATSO.ov2 & bmp. Same goes for the MOBILE and REDLIGHT and SPECS files.

Once copied to your SD card, you can wait a couple of minuted, eject the card and place it back in your Palm.

Soft reset the Palm, and when you now run TomTom Navigator, and go into the POI-Manager you should now be able to see these files and you should be able to enable them for map view and also select the WARN option to warn against each of the POI's.

Officially, TomTom only support the Palm T5. Whats different in the T5 to the T3 ? The only thing I'm aware of is the bottom connector is physically different. Currently you can only purchase the Palm OS version with the car cradle and BT GPS.

This is incorrect surely?
TT have never supported the T5, it's just the Tungsten C and T3.

Purchaced TomTom for Palm T3 a couple of weeks ago (new, from a well known high street store) and have had problems installing the safety camera database. Until that is I found that the TomTom software was v4.0. Now I have downloaded the free upgraded to v4.4 via the TomTom website the problem has been solved. So check your software version - it's on the GPS status page.

Thank you for the above. This has solved my problem too. Again, many thanks to you all.
