Ah

The code is slightly different to the HelpFile launch as I need to include the bookmark location.

I did change the button style, but not published yet, so you can see it change when pressed.

I'll abandon this ploy and switch to a separate new form with a cut/paste of the relevent section ....... if you think it's worthwhile.

I'm going to back this out. I just can't get it working across all formats, plus trying to get it to open reliably every time isn't working.

Nice idea shelved. Sad

Shame. I'm still working on it though, as you have set me a challenge.

It was flaky so no big deal.

I looked at a new Windows form but that needed hard coding, one form for each button.

I've scoured the net for opening a .htm and a .doc from .net, at a bookmark, and there is surprisingly very little.

The statement is the same as opening the helpfile normally but with '#mybookmark' at the end but that throws an error.

The only one I got working was the .mht file, in Win7, but that won't launch IE in Win10.

It's easy enough to put back if you crack it.

Mr. Google implies that the .mht problem first arose with W8.
Techwalla said the following.
Additionally, Microsoft Support reports a known issue in which an MHT file link in an Office document will not open; you may need to edit the Windows Registry to solve the issue (see Resources).

What's also strange is that it won't open the file from a hyperlink added to an excel cell (with the same error)

Opening the various files isn't an issue in .net. I open docx, .mht, .htm and .pdf from the top right help menu and they all open via their file association.

It's trying to open any of the above at a bookmark. I managed .mht in Win7 but as you say, they changed the rules with Win8

I haven't given up Smile

New version 67.

Only cosmetic. By default it will look and work exactly the same as the current version 66.

The current version is built for a 1024x768 screen and is fixed. A lot of screens are now larger than this so I've made the screen dynamic.
It's not an exact science under .net as you need to increase all or chosen screen elements via a percentage.

It's been tested on the default 1024x768 and on a 1920x1080. M8 has tested a few other sizes and so far so good.

If you want to have a bigger screen then the option to allow resizing will activate the maximise button:

Not very clear when resized to fit here but it shows the extra info in the green boxes on a larger screen:

Just to let you know the app will need updating for the specs_55 file, otherwise it will always throw up an error

I performed a download earlier in the week but there were no 55's in it to test against.

I've had a quick look and it shouldn't be too hairy. Hopefully the 55's will have a 55 WAV and BMP for me to work on. I'm going to tie 55 in with 50 so it will use the same approach and overspeed seconds but will use 55 for the calculation.

However, as posted elsewhere, I'm currently away so won't be in the next week. Bad timing by Yorkshire highways.

Done for 55.

I've had to use FIFTFIVE for the filenames because a significant part of the logic looks for FIFTY and it was finding the wrong files.

It uses the maths for the 50mph cameras that you use, as indicated below, but increases the approach and overspeed figures accordingly for the faster speed.

Fill your boots:

I've not had masses of time to fully test this but I've not encountered any issues with the numerous runs I've performed.

Let me know.

I'll see if I can break it later K.
What about the CSV DIR converter as that seems to strip out the 55MPH cams.

Yes, that's on the list.

Once the Converter has passed OK I'll move onto that. If I start on the Direction then you'll break the other and I'll be

with 2 programs on the go.

I MAY be about to ask you more questions Kremmen mate.
Had a Garmin dash cam 55 for Xmas and it DOES accept custom POI.....

Just updating the software now, am going to download the latest DB, load it in the camera and give it a whirl.

Very Happy
