I'm just wanting to know if there is an equivalent model number for the little Navigon/Garmin unit that is used in VW, Skoda & Seat cars.

With our Skoda unit it is called a Move&Fun but with VW it is called Maps&More..... Here's a link to the VW version..... https://buy.garmin.com/en-GB/GB/p/131136#overview

On the bottom of the unit it says "10R-04 6953" and also "m/n 4NSF"

Any ideas anyone?

Could be numerous models, if you have one and can look at the garmindevice.xml file that might give a clue.

Hard to say. It's heavily modified for use in the VW. It seems not to use a conventional power/aerial cable but a connection in the mount. The traffic info is via the car's aerial.

Handbook is here: https://static.garmincdn.com/autoOem/vw/docs/UserManualUK.pdf

Looking at the manual it appears to be able to accept and play media files, so doesn't really compare to current UK models. Possibly based on a Far East version as they retain the ability to play media files.

I can't seem to find a file named GarminDevice.xml but there is a Device.xml file within a folder called Navigon on the device.

I've tried to copy and paste the info from that file in to this post but it gives error messages back regarding HTML code.... I think it's something to do with the text having the left & right arrow symbols within it etc.......

Yes the unit is the sat-nav for the car and also the bluetooth for handsfree calls and playing music from a phone, along with being able to play music files from a microSD card in the unit.

I'm not sure how "current" the device is though as it has been available for a good three or four years at least and has now just been replaced by a new system.

Afraid that doesn't help as it's nothing like a normal xml file, which probably means there is no Garmin equivalent.

Thanks for the replies.

Having received a bit of info from a fellow owner it would appear that the equivalent model is a Navigon 70/71. Looking on Google at images that are returned it certainly looks like the same unit etc.....

It's always best to ask on a dedicated car forum.
