Thinking about moving to iGo

I have finally got fed up with Garmin routing and am looking at iGo. I have some questions that I posted in that forum. I know that technically this isn't a Garmin topic but I know that some iGo users occasionally look in here!

IGo8 is very good. It's some years since I've used it but after it, all other GPS sotware falls short.

The auto-zoom is fully customizable and the next two or three manoeuvres are shown. The "Easy" route option is very good and avoids all town centres and narrow roads.

A basic knowledge of xml is needed for preparing favourites/personal POI on a PC and copying them to the card. Google Earth files can be created, transferred and used but they're very clumsily compiled.

The version I had had no live traffic info. It ran on WinCE frim a 4Gb SD Card on a Mio C320 which eventually failed. But for 2 or 3 years it was great. I wish Gamin's algorithms, zoom and next turnings info were as good.
