Adding POIs to iGo on Android

I am thinking about making the jump from Garmin to iGo on a Samsung tablet running Android v6 (Marshmallow).

I have downloaded the trial and been trying to load my own POIs as well as the speed camera database with no luck. There are about 4 topics about this which I followed but it will not load either the speedcams or my POIs. I have also Googled this and seen responses on other forums. Is this due to it being the trial? That was my first thought!

Do they have to go on the SD card or can I put them in the main system and, if so, where?

Where is sys.txt on the system?

Is there a document showing how to add POIs. I came across a PDF dating back to 2008 which I also tried but no luck.

Any help will be appreciated.
