Just realised my Garmin is not being seen in POI Express. On my computer it does not show either. When I connect the USB cable the Sat Nav screen shows Garmin garmin.com/express but there is no data connectivity.

I have swopped USB cable and ports. I have rebooted the computer.

Any other suggestions?

Roy

This is Garmin's FAQ ...

https://support.garmin.com/support/searchSupport/case.faces?caseId=%7B9b0aa260-3f4b-11e4-eaba-000000000000%7D

so try the steps here. Note most issues seem to result from an incorrect cable, ensure you are using the original Garmin one or another data cable, many for smart phones etc simply provide power.

Are you running Windows 10 and has your system been 'upgraded' to the Anniversary edition? If so, there is a problem which is resolved by the latest version of Express 4.1.25.

sussamb, thanks for that but I had gone through all those steps including a second computer, leads, ports etc. Zilch.

This morning I composed a message to the support centre, sent it, then, as a last resort, plugged the Garmin back in.

This time I got a report of errors in the Nuvi and the SD card and to scan for errors -ie the device was now recognised. Scanned and it all came good - so far.
