Stupid question, I know, but how do you create shaping points rather than via points?

Yes it's not obvious Very Happy

Create the points as usual first. Then open route properties and right click any point you wish to change. Select Shaping point/Do not alert.

Note the other way is to change them in trip planner on the device itself.

On the latest units it very simple from the map view at the start of during any route - great feature

It'snot on every unit and has been enhanced recently and brought more to the forefront but I don't know why they don't make more of it because it's really handy to have when you know the way you want to go but not exactly etc
