garmin sure make buying the one you want tough!!

been to halfords and PC world, and I definately want a pinch zoom one.
So I am looking for:

5" (6inch at a push)
pinch zoom
voice activated
real directions
lifetime maps (lifetime traffic be nice)
bluetooth for phone use (like hands free calling)

which meet these criteria. I'm struggling with garmin site, so far only found the 3597, 3598, and 2599 stating pinch zoom, and 2599 doesn't have all features I want.

My 2599LMT-D is superb, can't fault it.

Yes it has voice control
Yes it has bluetooth
Yes it has lifetime maps
Yes it has lifetime digital traffic
Yes it has the popup road layout showing which lane to get into on motorways

I don't know about pinch zoom as I never touch the screen.

thanks for the reply.
I'll send you a screen wipe in the post if you try it for me Smile

Is this one that only has one lead for everything (unlike the 3598) ?

Yes, it has the single lead.

The only thing you will need to do is get the viewing angle right. Because it's a glass screen it shows reflections.

I've got mine set and if it was a mirror I would be showing the centre of the roof.

My 2597 has the matt screen but taking the pro's and con's I prefer the 2599 for clarity.

Hopefully I'll be able to angle it ok. Compared to the non pinch zoom it should be worth it as the gui is so much better for me. I was trying to pinch zoom someone's laptop screen the other day Laughing Out Loud. I had been just using a surface pro 3 in my defence.
