Nothing special on the warning front. I've had a Garmin 50, 2597 and 2599 and they've all done it.

Problem is, once you've been doing it without issue for so long you forget about the idiosyncrasies (another one to look up) of POILoader and Garmin logic.


My alerts appear in a rectangular box across the screen showing the limit and seem to freeze the display sometimes (nothing on top like yours) - cured by going off map and back again. Suppose that's what comes from buying the cheapo version!
