|
|
Excuse me I'm a beginner.
I have a Subaru Forester XT purchased in august 2014 with a Fujitsu Ten navi (almosta the same as Harman Kardon navi).
I wish to have the speed cameras but I'm not sure if yours files are good for this device: and if yes, how could I update the system? Is necessary to process the files?
Cna anybody help me?
thank'you |

Does the instruction manual mention anything about using 'custom data', '3rd party data', 'custom points of interest (POI)' or '3rd party points of interest'?

Thank'you for reply.
No the manual don't speak about 3rd party data. The maps are signed as iGo 9.2.7.302684 of 23 may 2013.
The support are from NaviExtras (that replaced NavTeq) that I called but the are not very collaborative!
The code of navi is FF456ls.
Good new year to you!

Is the navi software on an SD card or can you access the filing system?
If so, and the software is iGO, then it's easy to put the PGPSW camera database on it. They are directional too.
If you can 'get at' the filing system, the right PGPSW database is just put in the Content\speedcam folder and iGO does the rest. |

Yes, I read with a usb reader the sd card.
I found also the folder "speedcameras", with 0 files in!
I have to copy the cameras database in this folder?
Automatically the sysstem recognize its?
Thank'you

Hi Franco.
No. The PGPSW database goes in the \iGO8\Content\speedcam folder. (the first folder may be different to \iGO8 such as \Primo\content\speedcam. If the iGO8\Content\speedcam folder does not exist, then create it. Note it's called speedcam NOT speedcams.
The download the you require from the download page is iGO UK-Single file with all cameras (or EUR-Single file with all cameras.
The full instructions are HERE
When you first start iGO after putting the database on it, it will appear to hang for quite a long time 9Several seconds, maybe as long as 20) IT might also have a message 'Initialising Warning Data' displayed (depends on version of iGO)
If you have the standard software, you need to have a satellite lock before you can enable them as the various enabling options are not visible unless you have lock. The standard software does not allow speedcams in France ore Switzerland, so it needs to know where you are before it will allow you to enable them. Nearly all third party skins allow cams in France and Switzerland, and PGPSW provide the data should you wish to use it.
The cams are directional on iGO, meaning they don't alert for cams on the 'other side' of the road, but they all show on the map. |
