Has this been or about to be discontinued?

I ask because a retailer told me today that it was about to be replaced hence they are becoming thin on the ground or perhaps a bit like "Hen's Teeth" and as I am looking to replace my current device - Snooper this model caught my eye and it would seem overall to have quite positive reports on here.

I haven't heard anything but Garmin invariably release new models in the new year. 3598 showing here http://www.satnav-discounts.co.uk/gps/product/most-popular/garmin/garmin-nuvi-3598lmt-d/

What I have heard is that Garmin may not replace the prestige line, to which the 3598 belongs, so that may be what the retailer is referring to Confused

Garmin have no stock and are unable to confirm - 'when' and would not be drawn on the 'If' question well you wouldn't expect them to would you Rolling Eyes

I wouldn't be surprised if they stop the premium range. They have far too many features for what they are and reports I've seen seem to indicate processing power issues as a result.

Why do you need 3D buildings on a SatNav for example?

Problem with that site is they are quoting wrong prices and of those that have stock only Argos appears to be right....

Then try Argos ... it'll be cheaper than via Garmin Wink

...love it, Argos did a one day special so saved quite a bit - it pays to watch and wait Cool

One question on the loading of POI onto the device.

I see in the instructions it says go to specific poi Garmin site and down load the aptly named 'poiloader' - can't find the software at all.

Can anyone help?
