speed cams

hi after I have set the speed cams on my Garmin for the first time
do I have to do the same ever week to update them or do I just use
parts of the download like I did with tomtom thanks

Download the update file, which is tiny and takes seconds. Unzip it then use POIloader to create and install the new file making sure you use the same name so it overwrites the current one.

Only takes a few minutes, tops

Hi thanks for your reply I am thinking of getting this satnav nuvi 2597 lm.
Will this one work ok as it has place of interest on it which I think this is what you need to put speed cams on with thanks

Before you get that model consider whether you would benefit from Garmin's traffic.

Lifetime maps are well worth it but the traffic is a bonus. Normal traffic is just the TMC RDS which covers motorways and most A roads but has a poor update cycle (15 to 30 mins in my experience) whilst the digital traffic is updated almost every minute and is a boon these days.

LMT-D is my recomendation
