Next month should see the release of the next map, and we can but wait and see. _________________ Richard

Agreed that issue remains with 925. Really looking forward to a fix for this as it has been going on for ages, and its not exactly a quiet country road……

Thanks for the update guys :-)
I have TomTom Europe for Android (which is awful) and the problem is not present in the maps this uses?
I go all over Europe with my 910 and I never have a problem... I want to navigate a few miles up the road and the blasted thing crashes.
I wish TomTom would pull their finger out and fix such basic issue :-( _________________ 🔸🔸 Currently using TomTom GO 940 & Locus Map 🔸🔸 |

Still not fixed in latest maps v9.30
Not happy as it was reported to TomTom ages ago and this affects a busy motorway junction - its not as if its a small country road.
Will report again

Still not fixed in v9.35 maps.
TomTom list the product as legacy, so no formal support. Map reports of this issue say they are fixed but don't fix it.

Thanks for the update John.
Although many older TomTom's are legacy products, the maps are compiled using the latest map data which is used for all TomTom products.
Exactly the same "older" map formats are also used for TomTom running on many WinCE phones (Navigator) and the Renault Carminat which are not very old.
It would be interesting to see which models are affected by this gremlin or whether it's limited to older devices. _________________ 🔸🔸 Currently using TomTom GO 940 & Locus Map 🔸🔸 |

It seems to be the Europe / Europe NORTH maps.
UK only maps do not have this issue.
My 710 crashes when trying to plan a route through this junction. I think from earlier posts, other early models also. So x10 and x20 models.
My 940 (full Europe map) has never crashed when planning a route through this junction in any of the map versions, so x40s are unaffected.
So, may be a map issue which is exacerbated into a crash on older navcores
Still annoying though, and needs to be fixed.

I'm still using Europe map version V920.5243 (I refuse to update until the problem has been fixed).
Last night I found that my 910 crashed when calculating any root that passes Northbound or Southbound through either J11 & J12 of the M4.
Previously I though it only affected junction J12 on my device.
So you cant navigate any route from the South or North of England that passes through either of these junctions... great
If I recall, Europe map version V885.4010 worked perfectly.
Has anyone been able to try the new Europe map V937.5916 yet? _________________ 🔸🔸 Currently using TomTom GO 940 & Locus Map 🔸🔸 |

There's still a problem at J11, but it's on a different part of the roundabout.
It now seems to be on the northern approach to the roundabout.
When I have a bit more time, I'll have a detailed look. _________________ Richard

It makes me laugh that I can navigate all the way to Eastern Europe without a hitch, but I can't use my TomTom to go 10 miles up the road.
The length of time this has been a recognised problem but not fixed make me think that TomTom don't give a toss about the problems with the maps on their older devices. _________________ 🔸🔸 Currently using TomTom GO 940 & Locus Map 🔸🔸 |

Saw that a new map was out and got my hopes up….
Sadly they were quickly dashed as this is still not fixed in v940 maps.
This is getting ridiculous.
I know the products are legacy now but it is pretty poor that they won't fix this despite being reported many times, yet TT continue to push the sales of map updates.

Whoopee!
Perhaps TomTom are thinking that we'll all run out and buy new TomTom devices rather than finding another manufacturer who doesn't sell unusable maps?
Can anyone recall the last version of the Europe map that didn't crash, as I think I'll restore a previous backup that will allow me to navigate more than 10 miles North of my home! _________________ 🔸🔸 Currently using TomTom GO 940 & Locus Map 🔸🔸 |

Thanks for that :-)
Fortunately I have backups of my TomTom's when they were using Europe v905.4757.
Although this goes back to April last year it's better than TomTom's official workaround e.g. buy another TomTom! _________________ 🔸🔸 Currently using TomTom GO 940 & Locus Map 🔸🔸 |
