Copying MAps 'n Stuff (New To Old)

Hi,

My daughter has my old TomTom Start 25 and we are buying a new Start 25 M. I do not know if they are very different but can I copy maps from our new device (both are Western Europe) to the old one?

I guess the other question is, is that legal?

You cannot copy maps between devices, even two devices of the same model.

It just won't work.
