Who knows ... but they have with the other two series.

Hi sussamb,

You're top man, thanks for all your help, it's really appreciated.

I could wait for the upgrade, but my present satnav is going crazy, so I will probably buy the 3598 in the mean time.

I will no doubt be asking for some help with it as I'm a long term TT user. I'm therefore unfamiliar with Garmin but wish to install my personally created and converted TT POI's onto my new device.

I have a free multi format POI converter program on my personal Box.net account if it's of any use. Just click the link ( No ads or crap like that ) and there's a small folder with the software inside. You can virus scan etc if you wish but it's clean.

Obviously I cannot test the TT's 'ov2' converted outputs to Garman's 'csv' as I do not have my nuvi 3598 yet. I've have converted a sample TT 'ov2' but within the software's "Save" file selection there are several possible selectable 'csv' formats outputs in the dropdown window. "Memory Map csv" plus a couple of others. Which ones that are actually needed for my 3598 is an unknown at the moment.

Many thanks once more.

Cheers

John

As a GPS cable would be both unsightly and run over radio and heater controls I got my garage to fit an extra socket under the dash. The power cable is then fed up under the door trim and along the bottom of the screen.

The original socket can now be used for the phone.

Increasingly people are fitting cams as well for both traffic and reversing. About time more power sockets were provided - one on the dash, one be the mirror etc and gadget makers providing really short cables too.
