I used GE last week and it didn't identify any new firmware. Must have been in testing

The 3598's are super thin, have loads of extra features and these units often sit right under the suns rays at this time of year - overheating issue ?

Yeah, the date listed often doesn't correspond with when it gets on the servers. Guess the software guys wrote it and published on 6 June then other folks have to get it onto the servers.

That was a chore.

Got the update then it got locked on the first bootup with the black screen showing 'loading maps'.

Reset after 10 minutes via the 10 second hold and when it rebooted it locked on the main 2 icon screen touchscreen not working.

Rebooted again then Smartlink refused to play ball, rebooted again and I 'think' It's OK

That's not normal

I've always found a software update goes without a hitch, was it updating anything else at the same time? I'm off to Snowdonia this weekend so haven't bothered with the update yet, and in any case as my 2508 is working fine will leave well alone for now as I tend to only update if the update looks beneficial.

Yes there were 2 other minor updates (don't ask I forget)

I'll know next time I go out but indoors it seems OK now
