|

Hi, I have seen an article by member my1690 describing the method to install the .gpx database into a 2013 Jag XF which seems to have the same set up as my car.
Is there a 'dummy' or small test file available so that folk can see if their system will work before spending the money and finding it doesn't?
Many thanks |

Could you not download a .gpx file of POIs for free from here or somewhere else to try? |

I did look but to be honest in the 'free' area I could not see any .gpx files of any sort.
if you have a link I would be grateful. |

C'mon you Garmin people. Help this guy out with a small GPX file of random POIs for him to try out.
@Atomiser. Tell us where you live so as someone (hopefully) can do some POIs in your area. |

Thanks for the assistance M8TJT
I am in S.E.Kent not far from Folkestone.
If I knew the file structure I could possibly make one up but again am new to this. |

Spent a few hours trying to disembowel my Garmin StreetPilot for its database but in the end gave up.
The easiest way was to take the risk, subscribe to the site and download the PocketGpsWorld database.
It loaded and was accepted by the car's satnav so thanks for the assistance and cheers to MY1890 for the instructions.
It all works well. |

I wonder if the instructions from MY1890 could be included in our 'How to install it' list? Belay that. already done. See below.

Sorry about that my touch typing is not what is once was.
It was MY1690 not MY1890.
His instructions are already linked in your database for the Jaguar XF
I can verify that they also work for the Jaguar F type too.
Thanks again |
