Vauxhall's soon to be launched Adam city car will be the first vehicle to feature smartphone powered multimedia and navigation.
A 7-inch 'Intellilink' dash mounted touch-screen integrates with Android and iOS smartphones and a range of apps will offer services including satnav, music player, podcast and other connected services.
We've covered such solutions in the past but this is the first to feature in a production vehicle. In an ideal world we'd see a standard solution for communication between supported apps and the in-dash monitor but, for now at least, it seems that the solutions will be unique to each manufacturer.
