OK thanks for that, I shall try an purchase an 8gb card. I don't wish to sound a complete luddite, but how do I go about doing it?

Make sure it is a SDHC card, NOT just a SD card.
The speed rating should be on the card when you purchase it.
With the card in the unit and the unit attached to the computer, Windows will show BOTH the internal AND the card as removable devices.
Well, use Windows to simply copy and paste everything from the internal drive letter (supplied by Windows) to the drive associated with the card. _________________ David
