|
just got a garmin nuvi for my works car when i was installing the speed cams in the instructions it says
You MUST ensure you select Feet and mph if you are using UK/Northern Ireland files or Meters and km/h for all other countries (see below). If you do not ensure this selection is correct for your territory then the alerts will sound at incorrect speeds.
i set it to feet and mph if i go abroad will i need to reset it to meters and Km/h ? or will it work ok as it is thanks for any help given and a happy christmas to all |

As long as you leave the unit set to MPH then you will still get the alerts at the same distance as now.
If your unsure then setup 2 sets of cameras MPH/KPH and use the menu to activate/de-activate the relevant set. _________________ Lets be careful out there ! |

If you intend to download European Speed cameras, you need to load a seperate list of POIs to your Garmin; that one you will set to kph and the garmin will automatically warn you at the correct speed.
The process is decribed here:

The only difference with the latest version of POI loader is that you can name the file before loading so you don't have to change it on the Garmin.
I personally use UK_Cams_POI_Files & EUR_Cams_POI_Files
Hope this helps _________________ Navigating by Garmin Nuvi 760
