i have set the option to 'warn of speed cameras' ec but none are shown up! i am wanting to pay and download the database from here but i need to know that it will work!
the unit uses the IGO8 sat nav, and its updated via the naviextras website. hav to plug a USB into the unit, then to the laptop where updates are stored, then this USB is plugged into the unit again and the updates are done...
hope this makes sense, but can anybody advise me on weather it will work?

Well, iGO8 definitely works with our speed cam database. The only issue is how will you get the db onto the unit? If you can access some sort of file manager on it, it is a case of copy/paste into the right place. Instructions found Here .
If you have speedcams already on the machine, they should be displayed. Settings-Warnings Check Speed camera warnings, then goto the Speed Camera settings and check Visual and Audible warnings. This should display all the cams, but they will not alert on a simulated route, only when driving.
im following on from the thread i started a while ago. ive downloaded a few versions of the databases and uploaded them to my Zenec.
only problem now is... i can get the cameras to show up on the map, but there are absolutely no audible warnings, also each time i plan a new journey, i have to go through the menu and select to display cameras.

Are you displaying them as POIs or from the 'Warnings' menu? If from the warnings menu, the settings should 'stick', but bear in mind that with the standard iGO skin, you have to have a GPS lock before the speedcam options are displayed.

Why have you downloaded 'a few'? You only need one for the UK to start with. Get one working before adding more.

Yes, that is correct. When you first switch on, the unit searches for the sats. Once it has found them, it locks on and then the speedcam menu option is available.
