I was recently invited to on to the TechFan Podcast as the show guest. This weekly podcast, part of the MyMac.com network and hosted by Tim Robertson and David Cohen focusses on all things 'technology' with a diverse range of topics from Google to XBox and so will appeal to all.

In the hour long podcast we discuss GPS, mapping, the rapid take-up of the technology as well as some of the key tech news stories from the past week.

This was my first podcast and I'm sure it shows but please do have a listen and post your feedback in the forum. It has got us thinking wether a Podcast might be worth trying, it is an area of technology that hasn't yet been touched upon in the podcasting world, what do you think?

You can download and listen to this week's TechFan podcast here and you can subscribe to the the weekly show in iTunes here

I found this quite interesting actually. Good to hear a 'non-GPS "geek"' discussing GPS and what they feel the future of PND's is with regards to free navigation on mobiles etc.

I Like the idea of a PGPSW podcast but prefer the video variety. I tend to switch off a little with just audio.

I listen to podcasts in the car or whilst working. A vide podcast is a definite NO NO. Bad enough having to endure the sound of my own voice!

I think andy is referring to any ideas of stardom you might have. "he'll be in his trailer" Confused

I still like the video option but you could always have both where video is only used for reviews on devices. Would only need to be still pictures with voice over if you are afraid of the lime light! Cool

I have too much to do anyway, without finding time to listen to podcasts so I'm afraid I wouldn't listen.

I usually end up reading 3 or 4 newsletter emails all at the same time.

I'm sure there are those who don't lead such busy lives and they'll find it useful but podcasts are not for me.

Each to their own, I wouldn't say my life is anything other than manic most of the time but I still find time to listen to the radio and podcasts.

I too would be interested in an audio podcast, but not a video one. Don't think they all need to be an hour long though! Which? magazine do some on technology, money and cars; each of them is about 20 minutes.
Cheers

I'd have thought 20 - 30mins was plenty too, an hour is too long for casual listeners unless there was a topic that justified an extended show.
