Please someone help me out.
I have a new Satmap Active 10 plus, which refuses to connect to the computer.
I have downloaded from the satmap website, sat sync and update software.
I have also spoken to them regarding a driver for the unit, which I have installed.I have checked in device manager and the drivers are up to date, but still no luck.
I have tried the unit with the same downloaded software on an XP laptop, and it all works fine.
What if anything am I doing wrong ?
Please help a new member to the forum, all help very much appreciated.

I have scanned it with the latest McAfee and all is fine.
I have as follows;
defragged.
ran disc clean up.
updated drivers.
deleted usb drivers and updated them.
But still no joy ?
Some one out there must have an idea ?
PLEASEEEEE
Also, just to add the laptop that it works on is 32 bit and so is the one I am not succesfull with !?

Hi

I'm on vista and runs fine, never had any trouble.

Have you checked what .net framework version you are on, you need V3.5 to run Satsync. This website will explain how to check http://www.walkernews.net/2008/05/16/how-to-check-net-framework-version-installed/

I don't know if this has anything to do with the connectivity issue.

I assume that you have tried different USB ports on the lap top?

When you installed the software did you state make available to everyone?

Have you tried uninstalling and re installing, select make available to everyone.

Are logged in to an adminstrator account on vista, it shouldn't make any difference but I know it does on XP as guest accounts aren't supported?

Paul
