Hi

I'm not sure whether anyone can help or have experienced any similar problems to what I've had but this is whats happening...........

I've recently purchased a TomTom One IQ Routes and have subscribed and downloaded Pocket GPS World Saftey Camera Database. All of that has been done without any problems and works very well.
The problem that I have now is that I want to assign a real voice to warn me of the cameras ahead. I've made sure that I have downloaded the speed zoned speed camera database along with a speed zoned real voice file.
I've read about the problems that can occur with Nav 7 etc and have experienced the problem where I don't get an option to choose a specific sound/voice. Again on following your instructions it seems to be working ok.
Eventually here's the issue, when trying to set up the warnings, the gatso warning are fine and a real voice is allocated but when I come to the mobile or traffic light cameras I either get the normal sound options such as the bell, beep etc but no real voice or it seems to freeze on the 'warn when closer than' screen and won't go any further.
I've reset the TomTom a couple of times but it doesn't seem to work.
I have updated the device and have the latest map.
Anyone got any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Cheers

Sue. Smile

Did you install the pMobile Speed Camera Files? If you did, ensure you download the supplementary pMobile alerts voice file as well.

For some reason, having pMobile files installed without matching voice files causes TomTom to throw a wobbly.

The solution is either to configure all BUT the pMobile files leaving them till last at which point you can assign a built-in alert or the much better option is to add the pMobile voice alert file. Then you can configure all without issue.

Hi Darren

Thanks for such a quick reply. I'll check to see whether I've downloaded that file and will try to assign the real voice again.
I'll keep you informed.

Thanks again for your help.

Hi Darren

I have got pmobile files installed as you suggested. I've followed your instructions and they've worked. Very Happy

Thanks very much for your help, without people like you, people like me wouldn't stand a chance when it came to sorting these kind of things out.

Hopefully the information you gave me will also help many others in the same situation.

Sue Very Happy

I have a similar problem with the European warnings. I can set up the normal gatsos etc fine and have copied the mobile .ogg files and renamed the as pmobiles, but it still doesn't work. I'm sure it worked last year though.

Are there any actual European pmobile voice files available yet please?
