|
|
I am considering buying a pda to run a gps and mapping software, I was considering the TomTom Navigator version 5 until I noticed that it doesnt run on windows mobile 5.
Two questions does anyone know when and if TomTom intend to bring out a version of Navigator 5 that runs on windows mobile 5?
Or can someone recommend a mapping/routing software that runs on windows mobile 5. |

TTN does run on WM5, and a new version with full support will be out mid november (ish)
Most other software does run as well, or will shortly. Anything in particular that you want to have tested? _________________ Lutz

Hey thanks for the info, sorry I was mis informed! but I checked the TomTom web site and according to them it stated that Navigator 5 did not work with Windows mobile 5. That said I couldnt find a date on the comment so it may be out of date, you would think they would be stating that it does work no? |

It works - but the installer doesn't (Active Sync 4,0), this is easy to overcome by getting the CAB files (four of them - TTN, WZD, PIMAddin and GPS) on to the SD card and running each one to install the application - this is covered elsewhere on the forum in more detail - i.e. how to obtain the CAB files if required - hope this helps Mike |
