SHC, you just replace the splash screen on your GO with a new one. Has to be correct size though. Look at above thread. |

Thats my opinion for what it's worth. |
Without burying the display deep inside a binnacle of some sort then there is no non glare screen solution that would remove reflections and screen washout in strong sun. That's why these hoods work so well. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren for you reply, but I am sure that it will happen one day, just take a look at the new instruments in aircraft they do not reflect and they operate in very high glare from the sun, I think that it is a matter of money and profit margine's for the makers. meantime I am sure you are right about the hoods and I have now made one for myself, must admit it does help, provided that I do not wear a white shirt when driving around in this great sunshine in the south of France _________________ Takara GP56 igo primo 1.1

Aircrafts still use what they call glare shields at the top of the instrument panel to minimise screen reflections. |

I've just received my Glarestomper and if I'd seen it in a shop I wouldn't have bought it, not for £10 plus. Also I found it was very fiddly to fit. No doubt it does the job but in my opinion, and having now fitted it, a better solution would be a removable shade velcroed to the sides. The one that Russgun made looks to be very good. |
