I am starting a van driving job this week and will be making about 32 drops a day, the night before I will get a list addresses for the drops, I am able to store 16 in the intinerary and save another 16 in files that I can retrieve half way through the round.

The company supplies about 350 shops and the rounds change every day, is there a way of storing all 350 addresses to make it quicker for me to load the to the intinerary each night, the favourites only hold 20.

I am sure someone knows the answer

Thanks in advance

John

Create a POI category and for each address create a POI.

Then when you need to create your itinerary with 16 stops, just pick them out, from the POI, in the correct order.

You can then add to, or delete, the entries at any time.

Jonc,

To create the addresses that you want in a new POI category try this. (assuming standard menu structure.

1. Press screen to bring up menu.
2. select the spanner to change preferences.
3. Select the arrow to go to the second preferences screen.
4. Select Manage POI (a petrol pump with a spanner (why do they use this?)).
5. Select the top right to add a POI category (three cubes with a plus sign).
6. Enter a category name ("work addresses" ?).
7. Chose a symbol that will be used on the maps.

Now you have a category to which you can add the addresses you want.

To add the addresses.
1. From the Manage POI page (steps 1-4 above), choose Add poi (petrol pump with a plus.
2. Select the "work addresses" category.
3. Now use the standard "find" options to select the point on the map where the first store is.
4. Repeat these three steps for each store.

Cheers
Paul

I have the same POI functions displayed as "Jonc".

If you select a location in MAP view, you are given the option to add that location to POI - and to form a new category to add that location to...

I do, however, have another suggestion. The wife and I enjoy Geocaching, hunting out hidden containers all over the country and indeed, the world.

To easily manage hundreds of waypoints, we use Geo-Caching Swiss Army Penknife (GSAK) to push cache details into our Ipaq (TT3 & GPSonar), StreetPilot 3, Vista C, Memory-Map or an old Palm, depending what we are planning to do. This program pushes appropriate data out to all these bits of kit and software in the format each requires - including POI files for TT3.

As well as cache details, we also maintain a database of the locations of Family & Friends to enable use to "refresh" any of the above bits of kit after resets etc. It is this latter use that could be adopted for your deliveries.

GSAK is a very cheap shareware program at: http://gsak.net/
