Cornz

Cornz has
emailed us his current setup. He has a RAM mount, with supports his HP iPAQ
5450. He currently has a Dual PCMCIA sleeve mated to this so does need a
larger and more heavy duty mounting system.
He purchased the angle bracket from B&Q and has simply covered this with a black
cloth duct tape to create a little bit of protection to the interior of the car.
The angle bracket has been screwed onto the RAM mount and is then pushed between
the ashtray and the centre console.
This was
cheap but secure mounting system, and it really does stay out of the way of any
passengers legs which is something important for most.
The whole setup has been installed into his VW Passat. Cornz also built a
home made amplifier module from a Velleman 2.5 watt mono amp, powered from the
split charger lead from the cigarette lighter socket.
The amp is powered and the iPAQ and Dual PCMCIA sleeve are all charged at the
same time.
