Given the plethora of stories where HGVs have become wedged in narrow village streets and lanes there must be a huge market for truck specific satnav devices.

So TomTom's TRUCKER 6000 Lifetime Edition should find a queue of customers desperate to reduce the risk and stress of coming a cropper. It delivers vehicle specific route guidance along with lifetime traffic and map updates (for the lifetime of the device) and has a built-in SIM that will even work abroad without roaming charges.

Drivers can pre-plan their journeys via the MyDrive app and calculated routes take into account the weight, type, size and even cargo. If you drive or operate a fleet of HGVs then equipping them with truck specific satnav seems like plain common sense surely?

The TomTom TRUCKER 6000 Lifetime Edition is available to purchase now, priced at £399.99.

Good idea to advertise it with a foreign vehicle as the picture. Maybe they'll get one and not come over here to block our country lanes because they can't read the signs.

That's really stupid of them. I'm presuming they supply the lorry and the fuel, do they not even provide a road atlas? When I first started driving for someone (small van) he paid for all that including all the A-Zs I had to get (before satnavs).
