SkyTraq, a Taiwanese GNSS technology company, have unveiled the Venus828F, a GNSS receiver that can track multiple satellite navigation networks and as many as 28 satellites concurrently.

The Venus828F weighs in at a teeny 7mm x 7mm and includes the GPS chipset, flash memory, a TCXO (crystal oscillator), LDO voltage regulator and a DC/DC switching regulator. The only other things needed are a power supply and antenna.

The Venus828F can also accept data from a MEMS sensor (microelectromechanical sensors including accelerometers, gyroscopes, digital compasses, inertial modules, etc) reducing the workload for the host processor.
