Pedestrians Caught Speeding By Camera

In the same week that Banksy put Weston-Super-Mare firmly on the map with his Dismaland "festival of art, amusements and entry-level anarchism", something that would most likely appeal to the surveillance hating artist's sense of mischief has also been amusing the Somerset seaside town.

A fixed speed camera, the only one in North Somerset, has been causing both confusion and entertainment - it's been randomly flashing motorists who drive past it at under the speed limit. In fact it has even been flashing pedestrians and cyclists.

A seemingly not so amused council spokesman said: "We are aware that it is flashing and an engineer will be going out to have a look at it."
