Rolls Royce drivers can look forward to an even smoother ride thanks to technology similar to that which we've covered previously.

Predictive Power Control, which we covered in May last year ( see here), uses GPS to ensure the optimal gear is selected and improve fuel economy.

Now the same technology is to be used to smooth out the ride the new Rolls Royce Wraith, enabling its 8-speed ZF box to pick gears ahead of a hill or bend.

If you're in the market for a new car, and have a spare £200k+ at hand, you'll also find a heads up display, lane departure warning system, auto main/dipped headlights and even night vision.
