Spotted this whilst browsing through Kickstarter a few days back.

For those of you who don't know, Kickstarter is a site that helps artists, musicians, filmmakers, designers, and other creators find the resources and support they need to make their ideas a reality. You can back a campaign by making a pledge and if it meets its funding goals your pledge is taken and, hopefully, the product gets made.

I say 'hopefully' as some projects have failed to materialise, so this can sometime be a gamble albeit an educated one.

Anyway, HAIZE is a navigation device designed for urban cyclists. Onomo, the team behind it consists of a group of people spread across Europe with a background in engineering, design and wearables.

Using a companion smartphone app, the user inputs their destination and once set, HAIZE will guide you with a simple display that points the way. The design is purposely minimalist and uses high end materials rather than plastic. You can choose turn-by-turn guidance or a simpler compass pointer allowing you to choose your route. Along with a bike mount it also comes with a wristband so you can use it away from the bike.
