A driver who received 10 tickets in one day has been disqualified from driving for 18 months.
The tickets covered the period between May and September 2014, but it was reported that 58 year old Abbas Hashemi received them all in one go.
All tickets related to him speeding past the same speed camera outside a primary school in Swansea.
He claimed to be unaware of the offences. Hashemi, who is originally from Iran and does not speak English, said to Swansea Magistrates' Court through an interpreter: "The cameras are very old and for a very long time the way they flash is not very visible. I do not notice it very much".
So without speaking English it's possible to get a driving licence? And not read road signs. And stuff.

Easy Peasy. You get someone else to take the test for you. Have you not heard of that old chestnut Dennis.

No I hadn't. TBH I thought just having a cat would do the trick. He pleaded (through an interpreter) that he needed to keep his licence to be able to take his wife to hospital for cancer treatment. But she hadn't had an appointment for 2 years (since long before he got his licence).

Surprised then he wasn't also charged with 'trying to pervert the cause of justice'

He'll be back on the road now as he doesn't understand.
