Totalpda have the 720 at £129 incl VAT.

Enough for me and I ordered one...in stock...plus the Carcomm CNM 161 mount for my Brodit Clip on my vent.

£151 all in.....

It might go down more...as might the others of course but sometimes enough is enough, already.....oi vey

Great, should still come with LMG then so when you get it backup and update to the v8 release before you use the MAP upgrade and you'll be on your way to a pseudo 730 Smile Bargain.

It does come with the map update...or I think it does. It doesn't say it anywhere but I thought all "new" TomToms came with the 30 day latest map thingy ?

I will either leave well alone or have a play after backing it up...of course...with the Navcore 8.3 and latest maps and using the V7 voice...

Edit: Just found an email from Handtec on the 10 Nov, who I was going to buy from, saying that ALL refurb TomToms come with the 30 day latest map guarantee from TomTom. So that will also apply to all refurb 720s from anywhere is a safe assumption

Just reordered the 720 from totalPDA.....for £130 delivered...now THAT is a bargain.

Use code FSD10 at the checkout for the extra £10 off the normal price

That is £205 cheaper than when the device was first put on sale, and cheaper than some of the TomTom One range - I doubt they will have stock for very long though at that price - nice find - Mike

Too good to resist Mike. I had ordered at £140 but was able to cancel online and reorder after spotting the extra discount code. Have to bite the bullet sometime and yes...maybe in 3 months the 730 will be £175 or something but you cant wait forever...even in these drastic times where prices will be dropping a lot.

I get the feeling that there will be some other bargains elsewhere between now and the New Year. But I've made my choice and am happy with it.

Any of the X20 devices are a good buy Topgazza... solid as a rock so long as you steer clear of the 8.3 software until they sort it... which they should... Rolling Eyes ... before your 30 day LMG runs out mate.... then you will hopefully have a X30 device... if you want it... Question

It is brilliant for what it was originally designed for.

Another bump.

Just received email from totalPDA telling that despite earlier comments the 720 does NOT come with the latest map guarantee.....mmmm.

Just called them, very nice bunch, and cancelled the order. Shame....but still looking....

Its not up to them. They don't send anything out.

If the unit is a TT refurb, then its due the LMG!

Just to clarify. Official Tomtom refurbs come with a map voucher instead of access to the LMG. It fulfils the same purpose but is different enough that asking a retailer if unit x comes with the LMG may not elicit the actual facts.

Which I agree...to a point...except as a supplier they should know what "extras" come with their goods...either from them or the manufacturer. Interestingly handtec have just emailed me to say

"Unfortunately we do not currently give away these map updates with our items as we have not received any confirmation of this from our suppliers."

Which slightly misunderstands the question and maybe...sigh...TomTom should be telling their suppliers of their refurb units what the buyer can expect as part of the package.

I've bought 2 refurbs now, a 720 & 920.

With the 720 the LMG didn't work straight away, but after the call to TT and then emailing the receipt i got it.
The 920 worked first time, no calls, just LMG.

Both units didn't require any voucher!
